SANTA MONICA, CALIF — In-Charge Energy, an eMobility company offering turnkey commercial EV infrastructure solutions, has hired Serge Ahranovich as its new Director of Software Engineering. Ahranovich will be responsible for the creation of In-Charge software solutions, which will benefit electrified commercial fleets in the very near future.
“Electric fleets require very different software needs than your typical consumer EV,” said Krishna Vanka, Chief Product Officer at In-Charge Energy. “Because of his experience developing fleet technologies, Serge understands these nuances very well and will help us produce a premium product for our clients.”
Ahranovich is currently overseeing the development of a proprietary software platform for charging electric fleet vehicles, which will be announced in the coming months. As the system architect, Ahranovich works closely with a large remote team to plan and test the various components of the platform. He also conducts research and develops concepts for additional platform features. He reports to Vanka and Terry O’Day, In-Charge COO and Co-Founder.
“This opportunity was exciting to me for two main reasons,” said Ahranovich. “First, I’m looking forward to creating something totally new for such an innovative industry. Second, I know this will be quite a rewarding experience as we develop something to benefit the common good. It motivates me to see the larger picture and how electric vehicles will shape our world.”
Prior to joining In-Charge, Ahranovich was the CTO of his own software company, based in his native Belarus, for more than 15 years. He spent much of that time developing a fleet telematic system completely from scratch, an experience that will inform his current work.
